Accident Attorney Josh Brownstein
Josh S. Brownstein's practice focuses primarily on real estate and corporate litigation in addition to personal injury law. Josh has wealth of experience in a variety of commercial matters, including breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty actions, corporate/partnership dissolution actions, and fraud, negligence, and other business tort actions. He has also represented developers, architects, contractors, and property owners in construction matters, including construction defects, mechanic's liens, stop notices and other non-payment claims, and delay and related mismanagement claims. Additionally, Josh's experience with real estate litigation includes disputes over purchase, sale and/or lease agreements, right of first refusal agreements, non-disclosures in the sale or lease of real property, boundary disputes, mold litigation, common interest development disputes, partition actions, and commercial and residential unlawful detainers.
Josh represents and advises his clients in all phases of disputes, from preventative counseling through alternative dispute resolution procedures such as mediation and arbitration as well as bench and jury trials. In addition, he has litigated in both state and federal court, and has substantial experience litigating adversary proceedings in United States Bankruptcy Court. Josh draws on his wealth of experience in litigation in his personal injury law practice, where his clients include the victims of motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises and product liability matters, and nursing home abuse or negligence.
Josh began his career at the international firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, LLP (now Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw Pittman, LLP), where he gained valuable insight and experience by practicing intellectual property litigation and prosecution. Most recently, Josh spent several years at Reed Smith, LLP, another international firm, practicing in the firm's commercial and financial services litigation groups.
